Do you believe that schools encourage students to read enough?

In my opinion, the extent to which schools foster a reading culture varies significantly across different educational institutions. While some schools implement comprehensive reading programs that captivate students' imaginations and provide them with a diverse array of literary genres, others may inadvertently neglect this crucial aspect of education due to an overemphasis on standardized testing. Furthermore, the effectiveness of these initiatives often hinges on the enthusiasm and expertise of teachers, as well as the availability of resources. Moreover, contemporary distractions, such as technology and social media, often compete with the allure of reading. Consequently, it is imperative that schools not only promote reading as an academic discipline but also instill a genuine love for books, encouraging students to explore literature both within and beyond the curriculum.
