Sample Answer
One memorable occasion when I received money as a gift was during my birthday last year, which was celebrated by my family and friends. My grandmother, who has always been very supportive of my education, gifted me a generous amount of money for my birthday.
She gave me this money because she wanted to encourage me to pursue my studies further, particularly my dream of studying abroad for my master's degree. Knowing that studying internationally can be quite expensive, she hoped this financial support would alleviate some of the burdens associated with tuition and living costs.
With the money, I decided to start a savings account dedicated to my education. I researched potential universities and their tuition fees and calculated how much more I would need to save. This gift also inspired me to get a part-time job to contribute to my fund, making me feel more responsible and independent.
After receiving this thoughtful gift, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and motivation. My grandmother's support not only provided me with financial assistance but also strengthened my determination to achieve my academic goals. It reminded me of the importance of family and their belief in my potential. I hope to honor her support by working hard and succeeding in my future endeavors.
