Sample Answer
During the pandemic, I decided to learn how to play the guitar, an interest I had for a long time but never pursued. My journey began when I stumbled upon a YouTube channel dedicated to beginner guitar lessons, which seemed perfect for me since I was a complete novice.
Initially, I watched videos that covered the basics, such as holding the guitar, tuning it, and learning my first few chords. The instructor broke down each lesson into manageable segments, making it easier for someone like me to follow along. I supplemented these lessons with online forums and websites dedicated to practicing guitar, where I could ask questions and get advice from more experienced players.
I chose to learn guitar because I always loved music and wanted a creative outlet, especially during the lockdown when other activities were limited. Learning to play has significantly benefitted my mental health, providing a sense of accomplishment and a way to express my emotions. Moreover, I’ve found that playing music can be very therapeutic and relaxing, which has been a crucial factor in coping with the stress of these challenging times.
In conclusion, learning to play the guitar through online resources not only fulfilled a personal goal but also enhanced my emotional well-being, ultimately becoming a fulfilling hobby that I continue to pursue.
