Conversely, in rural locations, hotel stays might be less frequent, often replaced by homestays or guesthouses that offer a more authentic experience. 
Moreover, people's propensity to stay in hotels has evolved with the rise of platforms like Airbnb, which present alternative accommodations that are often perceived as more affordable or unique. Therefore, while hotels remain a staple for many, the diversity in travel preferences illustrates a broader shift towards varied lodging options that reflect individual tastes and budgets.
