Sample Answer
Celebrations of joyous occasions in my culture have undergone significant transformation over the years, reflecting broader societal shifts. Traditionally, gatherings were intimate affairs, emphasizing familial bonds and community participation, where rites and rituals were observed with sincerity and reverence. However, in contemporary society, the advent of technology and social media has influenced how we commemorate these events. For instance, large-scale celebrations are often broadcasted online, allowing virtual participation, which can diminish the profoundness typically associated with personal gatherings. Furthermore, the commercialization of events like weddings and birthdays has led to an emphasis on extravagance and display rather than the intrinsic values of togetherness. Nevertheless, despite these changes, the fundamental purpose of celebrating remains—the expression of joy, love, and shared experiences among individuals, albeit manifested in varied forms.
