Sample Answer
While it is undeniable that the proliferation of technology and digital media has significantly altered our reading habits, I would argue that physical books are far from becoming obsolete. Firstly, the tactile experience of holding a book and the sensory pleasure derived from flipping through its pages cannot be replicated through a screen. Furthermore, numerous studies have indicated that reading from a printed medium enhances comprehension and retention as compared to digital formats.
Additionally, physical books often serve as an aesthetic or emotional artifact—imagine the distinct smell of a well-loved novel or the comfort of a library. This intrinsic value cannot easily diminish in the face of digital innovation. Though e-books and audiobooks cater to convenience, the unique allure of printed literature suggests a symbiotic relationship, rather than outright replacement.
