Sample Answer
Absolutely, I believe that setting unrealistic goals can indeed do more harm than good. While ambition is a catalyst for personal growth, aims that are excessively lofty can lead to frustration and a sense of inadequacy when they inevitably remain unattainable. For example, an individual pursuing a dream that is far beyond their current abilities may experience chronic stress and eventually abandon their aspirations altogether, resulting in a detrimental blow to their self-esteem.
Moreover, the pursuit of unattainable targets can skew one’s priorities, diverting attention and resources from more feasible and fulfilling objectives. This misalignment can lead to a cycle of disappointment, stalling progress and well-being. Therefore, it is crucial to strike a balance between aspiration and realism, ensuring that goals are both motivating and achievable.
