Do you think buildings that have historic value are adequately protected in your country?

In my opinion, while there are measures in place to protect historic buildings in my country, they often fall short of providing the necessary safeguards. Many structures of significant cultural and architectural merit are at risk due to urban development pressures and insufficient funding for preservation efforts. Furthermore, the bureaucratic hurdles involved in obtaining conservation status can deter meaningful action. However, I believe that public awareness and community engagement play crucial roles in preservation. For instance, initiatives that involve local stakeholders often lead to more sustainable outcomes in maintaining the integrity of historic sites. Ultimately, while the framework exists, more proactive policies and public support are essential to ensure that our historic edifices are not merely relics of the past, but vibrant parts of our present and future.
