Sample Answer
I’d like to talk about an incident that occurred a few months ago when I unfortunately missed an important appointment. I had scheduled a meeting with my academic advisor to discuss my course selections for the upcoming semester. This meeting was vital for me because it would help me plan my studies effectively and ensure that I enrolled in the right classes.
On the day of the appointment, I had intended to leave early to account for traffic, but I ended up getting caught in an unexpected downpour. It was one of those rare, intense storms that drastically slowed down traffic. I tried to remain calm and thought I had enough time; however, as the minutes ticked away, I realized that I would be late. Despite my best efforts, I arrived at the university about 30 minutes after our scheduled time. To my dismay, my advisor had already left for another engagement.
In the end, I learned a valuable lesson about planning ahead and giving myself ample time to arrive at appointments, especially during uncertain weather conditions. I was able to reschedule the meeting for the following week, but the experience left a significant impression on me regarding the importance of time management. Overall, missing that appointment made me realize how unpredictable life can be and emphasized the importance of preparation.
