Sample Answer
One person who has had a significant influence on me is my grandmother, whom I've known all my life, as she was a constant presence during my childhood and adolescence. She is not only my family but also my mentor and friend.
My grandmother possesses several remarkable qualities that I truly admire. Firstly, her resilience stands out. Having faced numerous challenges in her life, including financial struggles and health issues, she has always managed to stay positive and proactive. For instance, after losing her husband at a young age, she single-handedly raised three children while working multiple jobs, a feat that speaks volumes about her strength and determination. In addition to her resilience, she is incredibly compassionate; she has always emphasized the importance of kindness and helping others, whether it’s volunteering at the local shelter or simply being there for family members in need.
The influence she has had on my life cannot be overstated. Her values inspire me to stay strong in the face of adversity and to be empathetic toward others. Whenever I face difficulties, I often think of her unwavering spirit, which motivates me to keep pushing forward. In essence, my grandmother has shaped my perspectives on life and has instilled in me the importance of resilience and compassion, qualities that I strive to emulate every day.
