Furthermore, the bystander effect, wherein individuals feel less compelled to act when in a group, can also deter assistance. It’s essential to recognize that a lack of knowledge on how to provide help can paralyze good intentions; without the requisite skills or understanding, individuals may opt for inaction rather than support, highlighting the need for greater empathy and education in our communities.
