Sample Answer
In contemporary society, it is quite evident that people's attitudes towards waiting have undergone a significant transformation. With the advent of technology, particularly instant communication and the proliferation of on-demand services, our collective patience has markedly diminished. Individuals now expect immediate gratification and often find waiting to be an inconvenience rather than a natural part of life. This urgency is exacerbated by the pervasive culture of instantaneity in which we live, where every desire can be met at the click of a button. Consequently, people may experience heightened frustration and anxiety when faced with delays. Furthermore, this shift in attitude may alter interpersonal dynamics, as the ability to ‘wait’ for others – whether in queues or social situations – is increasingly perceived as a virtue that is waning in its value. Thus, the sociocultural implications of this change are manifold and merit further reflection.
