Sample Answer
I would like to talk about an occasion when I received incorrect information during my university days, which was around three years ago. At that time, I was attending a conference on environmental sustainability, held at our university campus. A fellow student, who I regarded as reliable and knowledgeable, informed me about the conference timings. She told me that it would start at 10 AM and run until 3 PM.
On the day of the conference, I made sure to arrive promptly by 10 AM, but to my surprise, there was hardly anyone there. After waiting for about half an hour, I decided to check the conference website, only to find out that it actually began at 9 AM. I felt quite embarrassed and frustrated because I had missed out on the keynote speaker, who was renowned in the field of environmental science.
The feeling of disappointment was overwhelming at that moment. I had relied on my friend's information and it ultimately let me down. This incident taught me a valuable lesson about double-checking critical details, especially when it comes to important events. It made me realize the importance of verifying information from official sources, rather than solely relying on third parties. Overall, while it was a frustrating experience, it did help me develop a habit of being more cautious and thorough in my approach.
