Sample Answer
One significant time when I gave advice was to my younger cousin who was struggling with her studies in high school. She was particularly anxious about her upcoming final exams, which were crucial for her to pass in order to secure a spot at her preferred university.
Seeing her distress, I decided to share my experiences and strategies that helped me during my exam preparations. I advised her to create a structured study plan, breaking her subjects into manageable sections. I also encouraged her to integrate regular breaks during her study sessions to enhance her retention and prevent burnout. Moreover, I suggested forming a study group with her classmates, which would not only provide support but also make learning more interactive and enjoyable.
I gave this advice because I could clearly remember experiencing similar pressures during my exams and I wished to alleviate her stress by equipping her with effective study techniques. I wanted her to approach her studies with confidence rather than anxiety.
When I shared this advice, she seemed quite relieved and grateful. She appreciated my input and began implementing some of the strategies we discussed. A few weeks later, she updated me about her progress, sharing that she felt more organized and was performing better in her studies. This positive feedback made me feel fulfilled, knowing I had made a difference in her academic journey.
