Sample Answer
While the act of helping others is predominantly viewed as an altruistic endeavor, it can indeed have detrimental effects in certain contexts. For instance, when assistance is offered excessively or without considering the recipient’s capacity for self-reliance, it may inadvertently foster dependency. This is often observed in charity work, where a well-meaning intervention might discourage individuals from seeking long-term solutions to their challenges, ultimately stifacing their personal growth.
Moreover, emotional and psychological exhaustion can arise for those who continuously place others' needs above their own, leading to burnout. A striking example is caregivers who, while selflessly supporting loved ones, may neglect their own health or well-being. Therefore, while helping others is generally commendable, one must remain aware of the potential repercussions for both the helper and the recipient.
