Are the arts given enough emphasis in the education system in your country?

In my country, the emphasis placed on the arts within the education system is, in my opinion, disproportionately low. While subjects such as mathematics and science are prioritized due to their perceived direct contributions to economic development, the arts often take a back seat. This is particularly concerning, as the arts are crucial for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence, skills that are increasingly valuable in today's rapidly changing job market. Furthermore, an education that encompasses the arts allows for a more holistic development of students, encouraging them to express themselves and appreciate diverse cultures. Therefore, I believe there is an urgent need to re-evaluate the curriculum, integrating the arts more prominently alongside traditional subjects to cultivate well-rounded individuals who can think outside the box.
