In my country, the general trend indicates that a significant portion of the population engages with international news, albeit to varying degrees. This engagement is largely driven by the rapid advancement of technology and social media, which has made global events more accessible than ever before. Many individuals, especially the younger demographic, utilize platforms like Twitter and Facebook to keep abreast of unfolding international stories, from political upheavals to environmental crises. However, it is important to note that the depth of understanding often varies. While headlines may reach a broad audience, the nuanced complexities behind these issues may not be fully grasped by all. Additionally, certain segments of the population might prioritize local news over international affairs, influenced by cultural and socio-economic factors. In essence, while there is a notable interest in international news, the level of awareness and understanding remains uneven.
