Sample Answer
In my opinion, the question of whether people are more patient now than in the past is quite complex and multifaceted. On one hand, the advent of technology and the fast-paced nature of modern life have arguably diminished our patience. With instant gratification readily available at our fingertips—thanks to smartphones and the internet—individuals may find themselves less inclined to wait for anything, whether it be information or even interpersonal interactions.
Conversely, one could argue that contemporary society has fostered a different kind of patience. People today are more willing to endure prolonged challenges related to career development or social justice, driven by a heightened awareness of issues that affect us all.
Thus, while instantaneous conveniences have arguably eroded everyday patience, they have also encouraged a deeper, more resilient form of patience in the face of societal and existential challenges.
