Sample Answer
The manner in which individuals allocate their leisure time has undergone significant transformation over the past few decades, largely due to technological advancements and societal shifts. In the past, social interactions and recreational activities were predominantly outdoor-oriented, involving face-to-face engagement in communal settings such as parks or sporting events. However, in today’s digital age, many individuals increasingly gravitate towards screen-based entertainment, such as streaming services, social media, and online gaming, which often limit physical interaction. This change has cultivated a more insular lifestyle for some, potentially at the expense of physical health and interpersonal relationships. Furthermore, the rise of remote work has blurred the boundaries between personal and professional time, causing many to perceive leisure as an extension of their work environment. Consequently, while leisure activities have diversified, the social fabric of leisure has arguably become somewhat fragmented.
