Sample Answer
Undoubtedly, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, facilitating convenience and efficiency in myriad tasks. However, I contend that our reliance on technology has reached alarming levels, often eroding our critical thinking abilities and interpersonal relationships. For instance, the omnipresence of smartphones has led to a culture of distraction, diminishing our capacity for deep, meaningful conversations and reducing face-to-face interactions. Furthermore, overreliance on technological solutions can stifle creativity and problem-solving skills, as individuals might gravitate towards readily available answers rather than engaging in reflective thought processes. Nevertheless, it is crucial to recognise that while technology serves as a valuable tool for enhancing productivity, it is paramount to strike a judicious balance to ensure that we retain essential life skills and emotional connections that are intrinsic to human experiences.
