Sample Answer
While I appreciate the convenience of libraries, I generally prefer to purchase books. Acquiring my own collection not only allows me to enjoy the tactile pleasure of owning a physical book but also enables me to annotate and revisit my favorite passages over time. Moreover, owning books fosters a sense of personal investment in my reading material, as they become a part of my intellectual and emotional landscape. Additionally, the act of buying books, particularly from local bookstores, supports the economy and promotes literary culture in my community. However, I do recognize the environmental and financial benefits of borrowing; libraries offer a treasure trove of literature without the burden of cost. Thus, while both options have their merits, the lifelong connection I forge with my personal library ultimately sways my preference toward purchasing.
