Sample Answer
I would like to talk about my friend, Maria, whom I met during my first year of university. We were both enrolled in an international student program, and that’s when I got the opportunity to connect with her. Maria is from Spain and speaks Spanish fluently, along with English, which she mastered through her studies.
Maria and I communicate quite frequently, about three to four times a week. We often meet for coffee on campus, discuss our coursework, and share insights about our cultures. In our conversations, she sometimes teaches me Spanish phrases, which I find incredibly useful and enjoyable.
What makes Maria particularly interesting to me is her deep passion for languages and cultural exchange. She has traveled extensively in Latin America and Europe, and she brings fascinating stories and experiences from her journey. For instance, she has shared her encounters with local traditions in Mexico and how learning Spanish opened up opportunities for her to connect with different communities.
Additionally, Maria's perspective on global issues is refreshing; as someone who has lived in various cultures, she provides unique insights that are often overlooked. In conclusion, Maria not only enriches my understanding of the Spanish language but also inspires me to embrace diversity in our increasingly interconnected world.
