Sample Answer
One of the most memorable journeys I took was a trip to Japan during the cherry blossom season in April 2019. I went with two of my closest friends, and we were overwhelmed with excitement as it was our first time traveling to Asia together.
During our ten-day trip, we explored several cities, including Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. In Tokyo, we visited the iconic Shibuya Crossing and the tranquil Meiji Shrine. Seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom in Ueno Park was truly breathtaking. We spent hours walking under the pink trees, taking countless photos and enjoying a traditional hanami picnic, where we savored sushi and matcha-flavored treats while soaking in the beauty of nature around us.
In Kyoto, we attended a tea ceremony, which was an incredible cultural experience. The old temples and gardens were serene and provided a glimpse into Japan’s rich history. In Osaka, we indulged in the local street food, trying delicacies like takoyaki and okonomiyaki, which were delightful.
Overall, this journey was not just about seeing new places, but also about connecting with my friends and creating lasting memories. I felt a mix of awe and joy throughout the trip, enriched by the beauty of Japan and the deepening of our friendship. It was undoubtedly a journey that left a lasting impression on my heart.
