Sample Answer
Judging a person's character during an initial encounter is a remarkably intricate endeavor. While first impressions can be influenced by superficial aspects such as appearance and body language, they often do not provide a comprehensive understanding of an individual’s true nature. Cognitive biases, like the halo effect, may lead one to overrate positive traits based on initial observations, while overlooking underlying complexities. Moreover, the context of the meeting—whether professional or social—can significantly impact behavior, potentially masking a person's authentic character. Therefore, while one might form preliminary hypotheses about someone’s personality, I would argue that a deeper, more accurate assessment necessitates time and a series of interactions. Ultimately, character is a tapestry woven from experiences, motivations, and values, which cannot be fully unraveled in a fleeting moment.
