Do young people in your country still follow traditional practices? Why, or why not?

In my country, the adherence of young people to traditional practices varies significantly across different regions and social contexts. On one hand, many still uphold customs, particularly during pivotal life events such as weddings or religious ceremonies, as these traditions provide a sense of community and continuity, anchoring them to their cultural heritage. On the other hand, the influence of globalization and modernization has led some youth to prioritize contemporary values over traditional norms, viewing them as incongruous with their aspirations for personal freedom and individual expression. Furthermore, the digital age has facilitated the exchange of diverse cultural influences, often leading to a hybridization of practices. Thus, while traditional customs remain relevant, their interpretation and significance are being reshaped, reflecting a complex interplay of respect for heritage and the pursuit of modern identities.
