Sample Answer
In my opinion, the practice of keeping wild animals as pets should be strictly regulated, if not entirely prohibited. Firstly, wild animals possess inherent needs and instincts that are often incompatible with domestic life, which can lead to both physical and psychological distress for the creature. For instance, species that naturally roam vast territories may become agitated and develop harmful behaviors when confined to a limited space.
Moreover, from a safety standpoint, wild animals can pose significant risks to their owners and the general public due to their unpredictable nature. The potential for zoonotic diseases also raises serious health concerns. While the allure of owning a wild animal may stem from an appreciation of biodiversity, I believe that fostering respect for wildlife in their natural habitats is a more ethical and beneficial approach for both individuals and society at large.
